As I reflect on this past year and the start of my FCA voyage I come back to my One Word that I chose at the beginning of the year to be my theme.  That word was Patience.  God gave me that word knowing that this year I would need to have more patience than I have ever had in the past.  As All of you know the year started off with me separating from a secure job I had for a long time to trusting in God and following his path with FCA. There were times when I struggled not know how I was going to support my family and how I was going to move forward. But God provided.  Here it is almost a year after my start of raising support with FCA and I am employed Part time with FCA and have a second part time job to help with my expenses until I can become fulltime with FCA.  God provided for me I just needed to be “Patient”.  I incorporated the one word into the soccer teams that I coach and it was also a great success.  It gave the athletes one thing to focus on during those tough times as a team.  Each of my athletes also chose one word that they could focus on during their individual struggles.  I suggest that we have each of our huddles chose one word to focus on for the rest of the year and the beginning of next school year.  YouVersion had a 4 day plan that you can read to direct you to your one word.  https://www.bible.com/reading-plans/809-one-word-that-will-change-your-life

I pray that we can begin this year a better team, not because of our strengths but because of how we rely on one another due to our weaknesses.  I ask that you engage fully as a team member and know that in ministry it’s a fight worth fighting for.  It’s not for money, success or position we fight but for the souls of those who don’t know Jesus Christ.  I pray that God will challenge you in 2014 like you have never been challenged before.  I pray that FCA reflects the face of Jesus in everything that we do.

Hebrews 10:39 – But we are not those who draw back and are destroyed, but those who have faith and obtain life.
